Today’s world is a place of constant development. Faster, farther, higher, successive generations break the barriers faced by their parents and grandparents. More and more things are within our reach, but some of them remain or even become deficit… friendship… mindfulness… free time… health…
I am not only an observer, but also actively participate in changes in the medical landscape in Poland and Europe. Despite the constantly rising standards of treatment, new technologies and the optimization of the health care system, everything is happening too slow. The waiting lists are too long, the staff is too short, the awareness of the general public is too low, and it finally turns out that the entire system is ineffective. For many, healthcare seems to be a black hole which is able to consume all available resources, a bottomless well, a mystery.
As a person fascinated by it, here I share my thoughts on the challenges faced by patients, payers, medical and lifestyle service providers. I will acquaint you with the technologies of the future, I will highlight the financial prospects, I will tell you about the opportunities that are opening up for the industry. I will present my knowledge on promising treatments. I will also show what we can expect in relation with the changes taking place in the world.
In recent years I was associated with EMC Medical Institute Inc., one of the largest hospital and clinic networks owned by Penta Hospitals International, the largest group of this type in CEE, where I was responsible for restructuring the largest region of the Group in Poland, then as Chief Commercial Officer I managed the sales, development, customer service and marketing, I also co-created the Group’s development strategy in Poland for 2020-2024.
I was the founder and creator of a startup that changed the shape of the long term care industry in Poland. In 2015-2018, I from scratch the Angel Care, the first comprehensive center for seniors care in Poland, including a team of over 100 specialists who provided a new quality in the area of care for people with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, and implemented innovative Assisted Living solutions improving quality life of independent seniors – apartments with 24/7 medical care and concierge support. I was the initiator of the first Memory Clinic in Poland, the aim of which is, among others prevention and promotion of Healthy Aging in the local senior community.
For nearly 10 years I have worked for Polish and European Affidea structures- a leading provider of diagnostic imaging and radiotherapy services. I managed a key region in Poland, including the Group’s largest medical center in Europe. I was responsible for creating and launching the Group’s first imaging diagnostics center in the region, created by a team of over 100 specialists.
In parallel, for 5 years I was involved in activities at the Group level, co-creating the Lean management program. As Kaizen Leader at various levels of the organization, I shared my knowledge, identifying the best practices of leading centers, trained local teams and implemented efficiency improvement initiatives in Affidea centers across Europe.
My Vision
