This is not a world for weak people

Why will we be left alone with our mental problems?

The WHO predicts that in 2020 depression will be the most commonly diagnosed disease, and in 2030 it will be in the first place. 350 million people worldwide suffer from it. In Poland, the problem affects 8 million, of which 1.5 million requires hospitalization. We are additionally exposed. Poland has only 90 psychiatrists for almost a million inhabitants… in Finland there is 236.
The total cost of mental illness in Europe, according to OECD research, is over 600 trillion euros, or 4%. GDP.
I am writing about this on World Mental Health Day, the day after the Headway 2020 meeting in the European Parliament, where a roadmap has been mapped out for countries regarding the actions needed to be taken in the field of mental health.

Take care of your relatives and friends, pay attention to them… they may not ask for your help themselves. Talk, be active, support.

Good always comes back!
Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Don’t wait, not everyone can guess your thoughts.
Finally, be nice to yourself!
When was the last time you had your health check-up? Are you not living too fast? When was the last time you did something good for yourself? Do you provide yourself with regular physical activity? Do you give your brain a proper rest? Have you been sitting with a cup of coffee and a book you awaited to read recently…. thinking of absolutely nothing at all? If not, do it! Friday is a great occasion!
